cant believe i am back to dreamwidth cause i cant deal with twitter and tumblr fandom and need to post my rants somewhere and my fanfic wips

I am not dead, just started using twitter and most of the fandoms I'm "in" are mostly twitter based and I've been focusing on my art and writing a bit more.
I've been also modding a kink meme (it is pretty dead but I am trying)

Other Info: I’m a writer, crafter, fanartist and cosplay so you can expect a lot of that on my account. Also some personal posts in the middle and soccer.

I'm been in fandom related activities for more than a decade and lately fandom has really getting on my nerves. Maybe I am just getting older, maybe not.

One of the things that pains me is seeing that the sense of community is almost lost to me with tumblr. It is a good way for people who were afraid of posting in lj comms to show their love for a fandom, also for artists to show their work outside of the comms but it is such a bad place to discuss fandom aspects and meta about shows. There is no direct dialogue and at least in the communities you were able to see the all the responses when someone posted something, now you have to look between hundreds of notes most of them not saying anything.

With LJ and dreamwidth you have the option of posting on comms while remaining a private blog which is important for many people.

Finding content on the tags on tumblr is a nightmare, specially when there are people who post their fanfiction there. How am I supossed to find your dramione fiction in a see of graphics, opinions, fanart and even unrelated posts.

Other problem on tumblr fandom is the lack of moderation. The old problem of posting ship hate on the ship tag and reblogging to insult shippers. There is no moderation like many comms had. I'm not saying that this kind of stuff never happened on LJ cause everyone knows the stories about the HP ship wars.

A problem unrelated to fandom that I have nowadays is: headcanons

Don't get me wrong I love headcanons and I have my fair share of them (one day I will make a post about them), my problem is people imposing their headcanons on other fans. And being hateful when someone has a different headcanon.

I've spending the last two days watching portuguese telenovelas storylines on youtube.

And I have to say it is really weird seeing gifsets of them on tumblr. Mostly because young people usually dont watch them here. Also amazing seeing people uploading them on youube, give them subtitles in many languages and see the comments praising it, they could even form a fanbase with all those people.

I think if more people saw them here on tv the complains of censorship would be taken more seriously for exemple, Os Nossos Dias storyline is really cute and I hate all the obvious censorship RTP did that was not called out because peple didnt see it. I think at least in 2010 when tvi cut off Fabio’s and Nuno’s kiss many people complained.

But I got to say, love them sappy happy endings ( recently at least)

Pity no one is uploading the lesbian storylines to youtube for me to see and they arent all that usual at least I think.

I'm writing some writer issues about the continuation of my Ray/Archer one shot.

Mostly because I want it to fit the timeline after the "Legs" episode but I don't know. Mostly because I want to stay in character, and I don't know if I should ignore the whole "The Wind cries mary" episode. Maybe I should write another one with Archer dealing with the stuff Lucas Troy told him.

Spent my last 12 hours watching a gay storyline of a Portuguese soap opera and sobbing cause they were adorable and ended up together. (although at first I wanted to snap the neck of father of one of them, also bitchslap the production of censor the kisses)

I liveblogged the whole thing in my twitter, so almost 120 tweets after I am over.
